Tantalizing premise which keeps you intrigued until the final third. Then life does imitate art and you're neither intrigued, engrossed noir satisfied. Like the screenplay the ideas for an honest, clever ending fail to surface.
Ernst Umhauer is certainly a find, one to watch!
