Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Max W — 01 Jul 2007
I read about this one first last semester when researching for my final mass media paper, and it was the movie that had "the slap heard round the world." Oh snap. It was so sweet. The story's pretty engaging, but aside from Sidney Poitier ("They call me Mr.
Tibbs!") nobody in it is especially good. It's interesting enough though, and kept me watching (even if I did have to split it up into three installments).
