Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Lauren G — 31 Jul 2007
Great acting by both Steiger and Poitier, and the cinematography and music kick ass. The story is a bit confused at times, largely because details from the book were left out, but it's still gripping.
I'm not sure how realistic the premise is--I know if I were Virgil, I would've gotten the heck out of town. But then, of course, there wouldn't have been much of a film--and what a loss that would've been.
