Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Hiro P — 07 Nov 2007
"THEY CALL ME MR. TIBBS!".
I get chills every single time. From Ray Charles singing the opening credits, you get pulled right into this film. The acting is tremendous. Rod Steiger and Sidney Poitier give career performances and shove every shred of tension right into your face.
You cannot deny Sidney's role in this film, and I think it's one of the most relevant and most important roles in that powder keg of a decade.
