Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Graeme C — 29 Jan 2008
As the story unfolds, I love Chief Gillespi's changing attitudes and perceptions towards Mister Tibbs as his respect grows treating Tibbs as an equal. That in itself raises Tibbs respect for the chief and, at any other time or place, they might be actually be good friends.
