Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Dániel V — 16 Jul 2008
While I absolutely love The Graduate and still believe it should have won 1967's Best Picture Oscar over this film, In the Heat of the Night is so fantastic that I really can't complain. The fact that racial tensions in America were captured so perfectly on film--in 1967--is a tremendous accomplishment; for this reason, this movie is a one-of-a-kind treasure.
