Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Clint D — 20 Feb 2010
Love the way this film tackles racism, it's unflinching from both sides and shows that everybody has a bad streak every now and then. Poitier is so stern and Steiger is a great counterpart to him. Quincy Jones' music distracted me a few times but one of the greatest moments in all of film is when Poitier says, "They call me Mr.
Tibbs!!" Shit.
