I have watched this film over and over again, spanning several years, and this time not just because I have a crush on Poitier , but because it is a riveting film, showing just how pathetic whitey can be, and as for the character Virgil Tibbs, well his famous quote from the film of course is '' They call me Mr Tibbs '' I named my rabbit after Virgil Tibbs, though I decided to go for the more formal ' Mr Tibbs'You should see this film if you can, it is genius.
