Review of In the Heart of the Sea (2015) by Salena R — 13 Dec 2015
For some reason critics just have it.
In for Chris Hemsworth. He is an excellent actor and this movie is terrific.
The "critics" who reviewed this either are intentionally pushing to see anything that Chris is in to fail or are sloppy in their research of source material (I've seen uneducated reviews regarding Thor movies too when it comes to Thor-lore).
In addition, it would be nice if they actual either would pay attention to the movie that they are reviewing or would do a little research before actually posting their "professional" critique. For example (spoiler alert)-the whale is not in fact "stalking them"-that is, if you're paying attention to the movie-NOT what is happening. There is only one major whale attack-the subsequent attacks are not what they seem-and if you actually watch the movie you might realize that. Nowhere did anyone who made this film say it was the retelling of Moby Dick-so critics who are all upset that it's not and feel the need to add a disclaimer to their reviews again-need to do some research beforehand. This movie deserves far more credit than it's receiving. It gives us a glimpse into a part of American history that we don't often see along with an exciting adventure and a story of human survival.
