Review of In the Heart of the Sea (2015) by Daytona Aaron S — 16 Dec 2015
I'm giving this 5 stars to offset the 41% rating that it certainly doesn't deserve.
Instances.
The tale of Moby Dick is a slower moving story depicting what it would've been like to have a hostile whale wanting to protect the herd. And of the hardships of sailors during the whaling period in New England.
There isn't a metal robot blowing up buildings or a flying man, and most people expecting such will walk away disappointed. But it answers the story of Moby Dick with perfection.
If you've ever sailed, been at sea, or stood on the beach and wondered "what is it like out there, and what happened in history?" with sailing ships, sailors, and whaling. The cinematography alone answers this with splendid visuals that have been attempted in previous seafaring movies but never matched.
