Review of In the Heart of the Sea (2015) by Richard C — 31 Jan 2016

While this is more of a survival story rather than the action-packed whale-fighting movie it promises on the trailer, it's still good with great emotion and characters. Aside from that, sadly it feels a little hollow. The visuals are excellent but everything else felt "watered-down". In the end, it's really just your average survival story with some good character moments and great visuals, which has been done better many times before.

If you want to see something and there is nothing better playing, then this will suffice. An enjoyable movie, but not very memorable.
