IN THE HEART OF THE SEA is a very good movie based on a true story. The movie have top notch filmography & special effects and a good plot.... But only good plot. Thats in my opinion the big fault of the movie.
The plot it's epic oriented but, unfortunately, it fails to give as that "wow" moment that the big epics have.. the punch in the stomach. And it tries.. a lot.. specially in the stranded scenes after the whale attack.
IN THE HEART OF THE SEA gives good performances. All the actors seems to have the sense thats its an epic movie and they try to give us that sensation... Nevertheless, I recommend this movie, based on a true story that was the basis for a (really) epic book.
