Visually, one of Ron Howard's best films but the movie is weighed down by undeveloped characters. You don't feel the impact of some of the brutal decisions they had to make. Other than the incredible whale scenes the movie moves along at a sluggish pace.
Didn't feel the characters resonated. Still, a decent film.
