A good but not great film. It does a good job showing the lengths people can go to survive as well as a pretty good layout on the importance of whale oil in society, especially before the discovery of oil. It falls when it really doesn't give much time to the great white whale. All in all it made me want to go back and ready Moby Dick so maybe that was it greatest assest.
