Review of In the Fog (2012) by Andrey B — 29 May 2018
This is not a Soviet fairy-tale of the "glorious victory", this is a gloomy and grim exploration of human behavior during wartime, the ever-present suspicion here and now. The movie gets into details about these things, it doesn't abstract the war-time period with battles and rapidly changing places; it doesn't glorify nor denigrate anybody either.
A powerfully shot and acted drama.
