Review of In the Cut (2003) by Deborah G — 26 Apr 2008
First of all I have to say I would like to see this again since I was quite tired when this aired. The beginning was great, awsome thriller vibes from the get-go (probably largely because of "Que Sera Sera").
I enjoyed the soundtrack a great deal the whole time. What else I have to say? A bit difficult task: I don't think Meg Ryan is a good enough actress to this part; Mark Ruffalo on the other hand does fantastic job.
Also the part and the purpose of the young black guy remains a bit unclear to me. A solid ending. Not a bad movie: this sure as hell let me out of my Jane Campion -fear which came long long time ago when my cousin made me watch "The Piano".
If she had been more persistent, it would have been physical violence... :D WATCHED: April 25, 2008.
