Review of In the Cut (2003) by Tyler H — 10 Sep 2010
A really good, dark, and very gritty erotic crime drama, from director Jane Campion, who also directed The Piano. Meg Ryan, in my opinion, gave one of her best performances of her whole career, she was absolutely amazing in this film.
It's beautifully shot too, the visuals really captured the dark atmosphere and bleak mood of the film. It's got a slower pace, but the excellent performances, great story, and fantastic visuals will totally keep you glued to your seat and keep you guessing until the very end.
An extremely underrated film. Highly recommended, and One of the best of 2003.
