Review of In the Bedroom (2001) by Shane R — 06 Jun 2007
For some, the grieving process is long and arduous. For others it does not come until later, once it has sunk in. Todd Field's "In the Bedroom" exposes these emotions as raw and as real as they are.
And it is in Spacek and Wilkinson's performances where no flaws are made. Nothing feels forced or drowned in plot mechanics. We must take our time as the characters do.
