Review of In the Bedroom (2001) by Jude L — 14 Apr 2008
Not too many movies as powerful or as moving as this one. I knew next to nothing about this movie before watching it, so the tragic events left me quite surprised. Tom Wilkinson is one of my favorite actors, and he does perhaps his best work here.
The rest of the cast is quite good, including Nick Stahl, who shows an amazing amount of maturity in his role (and he certainly has a dramatic range, another one of his roles is Junior aka "That Yellow Bastard" from Sin City).
I love the moment at the end with the cut on his finger, and how it's already healing.
