Review of In the Bedroom (2001) by Paul P — 17 Dec 2011
Such a sad, depressing movie. The performances really enhance the movie, especially from Wilkinson, Spacek and Tomei. I love the simplicity in which Todd Field shot this movie. The scenes of silence are haunting and heartbreaking.
My only problem was the ending! The whole movie you see real human emotions and decisions, you sympathize with the characters and the realism they display. And the way they ended it seemed too hollywood and that ruined it for me.
