Review of In the Army Now (1994) by Chloe . — 20 Jun 2008
An awesome story,.
Pauly shore walked a fine line in this movie, if he didn't pull it off with such humourous outcomes his brain damaged act would have sunk this otherwise great movie.
I know this is not everyones cup of tea, but I loved it.
We are baisicly watching 4 characters on their journey through army training to their eventual placement on a mission.
The two main characters joined on a thought they would get paid for nothing as being reserves but get called into duty.
The whole team seemed a bit mentally immature but it wasn't to the point of stuipid.
While I dont think the army's standards are this low it was made pretty clear this isn't a serious movie.
One thing I was tempted to knock half a star was that all the drill sargents, first sargents yadda yadda were in no way intimidating as they should have been.
Overall a funny parody of a life in the army.
