A fantastic, seemingly forgotten, Disney classic in the tradition of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mysterious Island, and Swiss Family Robinson, this film finds the children of a lost seaman and their strange friend the Professor in all sorts of perilous places.
With a certain strange wonder more common in films of the era (though not completely absent today), the world becomes a rich tapestry of adventure and excitement. Cool effects and nice sets. Good, solid family watching.
