Review of In Her Shoes (2005) by Nicola C — 22 Jul 2008
Firstly, this movie is FAR too long and drawn out. weeded down to 90 - 100 mins and I may have enjoyed it more. Not a lot really happens, it's just a period of time in the lives of two sisters. At one point I felt I was watching two separate films that didn't go together at all.
Having said that, the characters have considerable depth and Diaz and Collette portray them with passion. There are a few genuinely funny and touching moments but they are few and far between. Had the potential to be a lot better, it's not like your bog standard chick flick, but it bored me quite a bit.
