Review of In Her Shoes (2005) by Holly D — 15 Aug 2008
This movie was a surprise. There are movies that attempt to be meaningful and emotional, but end up glossing over anything remotely serious. This movie was different. The performances were very genuine, and there were some very poignant and powerful moments in this flick, which I wasn't expecting from such fluffy fare.
There was some bad dialogue, but given the whole scope of the movie, it did little to detract from my enjoyment of it. Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette shone as the lead characters, but in addition many of the supporting characters, including Mark Feuerstein and Shirley MacLaine were great.
I would highly recommend this movie!
