Quite different from the usual Van Damme movie, but I am not sure if that is a good thing. I thought the whole thing was a little too clean, in a digital DTV kind of way, but there were some attempts to add humanity and acting range for Jean-Claude.
Overall, it was a little slow but not the worst thing in the world by any means. I wouldn't really ever want to watch this again, like you would with some of the early "classics" he made.
