Review of In Good Company (2000) by Kyle W — 11 Dec 2007
I almost every time get suckered into the simple love films these day. the simple people, with that witty nervous personality. like topher grace has in this film, reminds me of myself. I tend to get humorously clever when i'm nervous and uncomfortable.
anywho its a comedy romance thats truely a coming of age story. a young 26 year old (grace) takes over a multi-billion dollar ad agaency on the edge of collapse, and demotes the 51 year old legend at the agency (quaid).
a very good film with solid performances by grace, quaid and johansson. the love engagement that begins between grace and johansson is charming and soothing, that young love where you put your heart out there and hope it doesn't break.
frail and fragile. the kind where you jump and hope to god a hand reaches out before you fall. its beautiful.
