Review of In Good Company (2000) by Vesa K — 04 Oct 2008
Utterly stupid movie about different kind of moods towards working, but on the background there seems to be quite a satisfying study on effects of globalization. The characters are one-dimensional, narrative is just "ok" and that's why the movie as it is just can't pass my critical view as a masterpiece.
But there's one very real-like scene, where young girl seduces her father's young boss in her student apartment, which I found as a access point to, for example, my own memories and god-like visions I had a long time ago.
There are very few movies where I found those access points and they are always found from quite a foolish movies (exceptions are Tarkovski's Zerkalo and Demy's Les Parapluies de Cherbourg).
