Review of In Fear (2013) by Joseph C — 13 Mar 2014

In Fear is a hybrid movie. There is no gore or extreme violence. The movie falls somewhere between a psychological horror and psychological thriller. Unfortunately, it can't really be considered a thriller because any "twist" is telegraphed well ahead of time.

Many sites have this movie rated very low. I believe part of this may be that it has essentially a 2 person cast. (there is a third person for part of the movie) This fact alone can cause some to feel that the movie is very slow.

Now you might be wondering after all this why I gave it 3 stars. Well, the acting is actually very good. The story is sound even if a little trite. Or, maybe I am just a sucker for Irish accents.
