Review of In Dubious Battle (2016) by Heidi C — 19 Sep 2016
You have to really love Steinbeck to sit through this. The dialogue is flat and the characters wooden, despite so many really great actors in the cast. There was nothing in the filming to punctuate the scenes or set the mood.
Sadly for Franco, I think it boils down to thinking like an actor and not a director.
