Dark, gritty, realistic, and consistent from start to end. A well made film which portrays a true life WWII tale of survival. What complaints I have read in other reviews I can't agree with. For me there were no weak performances, the movie encapsulated all it aimed to which is saying a lot.
You understood the motivations for each character and their different reactions to the events they were thrust into. In Darkness deserves all the praise it has received.
