Review of In Bruges (2008) by Mihael T — 26 Jan 2012
After slow and almost boring beginnig the story accelerates and deploy with several plots, dialogs and soon stick the audience to the screen. It contains all: Tragedy, romance, frienship, principles, values, and very dark (English) humor. Only 4 star rating because there are some unlikeliness in the movie, that could be solved:
*1) You can't live much time with blown-out main aorta (10-20 sec. before faint), especialy not climbing 10's of stairs and than jump from the tower and even talk to friend after being just landed from 20m free fall to stone pavement (where all the blood left gushed out of his head at hit).
*2) A perfectly healthy athletic guy needed more time to reach same spot on the pavement runnig down stairs from the middle of the tower, than deadly wounded guy (with also having knee shot-through), to gather himself and think, creep upstears, think and make decision, climb on the fence, tidy and button his dress, jumpng down, falling to the pavement and warn a friend; all before the other guy came to them. Must be drinking coffe, got lost, or hang with a girl...
*3) It's not very likely to survive a Dum-Dum bullet shot, and even less to walk another couple of 100's of meters after being shot. Why guy apears to be alive even after 4-5 aditional shots he receives, when one gone through bullet already killed a man behind him?
