Review of In Bruges (2008) by Timothy A — 21 May 2015
One of contemporary cinema's great genre defiers; it isn't consistently funny enough to be a comedy, it's too funny to be a drama, and it's too sharp to fit commonly accepted notions of dramedy.
What it does have is an engaging plot, superb performances, and a pace and tone uniquely its own that carry it through to a satisfying and well-earned finale.
