Review of In Another Country (2012) by Dickie L — 23 Aug 2012
A playful romp featuring a series of scenarios with different characters played by the same actors. Isabelle Huppert drops her ice-queen persona and looks to be having a great time as variations of a French tourist in a small Korean seaside village.
She sends the locals aflutter and there's plenty of mirth involving cultural clashes, language barriers and other forms of misunderstandings. the repetition of events, images and themes will likely send some people nutty, but others may be charmed.
The eager to please lifeguard is a particular delight.
