Review of In America (2003) by Xou X — 26 Jul 2009
Such a beautiful film! The plot is very simple: it just focuses on a family who had to go through a terrible tragedy and so decide to move to America. There's not much more to it. However, it is also so deep, and it is this very same simplicity that makes it so moving.
Performances are wonderful, specially from the little girls, they are so aww. The whole of the movie is very touching and heart-warming. Makes you cry, makes you laugh, makes you enjoy. Direction is amazing too, Sheridan's ability to make such a wonderful movie from the tragedy he had to cope with is admirable.
Very beautiful picture.
