Review of In America (2003) by Leon B — 03 Jan 2008
The child actors are unfathomably intense and insightful, and the rest of the cast supports them in their imaginary way of dealing with the world. The prophetic neighbour is very moving, and overall the film is somehow an unsentimental weepie.
Some excellent camera work didn't get in the way of the story but maybe it should have taken more of a front seat.
