Review of In America (2003) by Tatanja W — 12 Sep 2008
This amazing story is told through the eyes of a 10 year old girl with a camcorder. The family immigrates to America from Ireland, and lives in Manhatten among drug dealers and transvestites. Woven throughout their struggles is how each is dealing with the death of Frankie, the 5 year old child who suffered a brain injury and later died.
Each brings their own pain to the new county and struggles to cope. The two sisters who play the children are amazing actresses.
