Review of In America (2003) by Stephen L — 10 Jan 2009
The acting is incredibly genuine. This is how people would really behave under these circumstances. Especially the kids. A lot of times movies make kids try to be mini adults and it usually doesn't work.
The kids here act like kids their age would. I really like the sets too, especially the run-down building the family lives in. I don't know what it is but I've always found something beautiful in decay and imperfection.
