Review of In America (2003) by Ciaran O — 20 Sep 2009
Not as good as most of Sheridan's earlier films, but that's no reason not to see it. A bit mawkish in places, but some nice hints at what it might be like for an immigrant. Normally child actors get on my nerves but the two sisters did very well, and Paddy Considine plays a surprisingly complex character well.
Not that keen on Samantha Morton though - is it just me, or is she playing for an Oscar all the time?
