I fully expected a self indulgent Hollywood indie flick filled with pop in stars. As it turns out the movie really had something to say and was interesting to watch. The actors were really talented and the characters were pretty well rounded.

I'm always on board with a movie that has a message of empowerment for women that is not preachy or one sided. We see many different facets of the modern woman in this film and touch on a few small ways that women still need to gain empowerment, freedoms and rights.

At the same time it's a film about family, relationships and love.
