Review of In a Lonely Place (1950) by Lee R — 07 Mar 2008
This is a great thriller about how the prime suspect of a murder (Dixon Steele) is saved by a neighbor who gives him an alibi. This blossoms into a relationship and as a result the focus of the film is on how the couple can cope with a relationship based on a murky past.
The main role is brilliantly acted by Bogart who is helped by a script which is amusing in places despite its dark theme.
