Review of In a Lonely Place (1950) by Ben H — 13 Feb 2012
A movie about Hollywood from Hollywood which is against everything Hollywood stands for. Complex characters, twisted relationships, no happy resolutions. Bogart's performance, his best, is the epitome of world weary cynicism, self-hatred, neediness and resignation.
A great, great movie.
