Review of In a Lonely Place (1950) by Michael H — 12 May 2014
This was a bit like a combination of Hitchcock's Suspicion with the Wrong Man. It starts off with a lot of humour and a light touch, but it gets dark as it goes on until it finally heads to a downbeat ending.
The imagination is certainly more sinister than reality.
