Review of Import/Export (2007) by Mike M — 27 Sep 2008
Everything again rings staggeringly, horribly true: the screaming babies, the dingy living quarters, the put-upon sex workers, the babbling residents of the old folks' home, the corporate courses schooling the jobless in "flattery, obsequiousness and deference".
.. Seidl never once flinches from the hard truths of capitalism, which is why "Import Export" is as relevant as any film currently on release, and amongst the most difficult to watch.
