Review of Immortals (2011) by Grace M — 21 Oct 2012
Someone forgot to use WIND EFFECTS in this film. How could this be overlooked? I cant look at the "Gods" sitting in the sky, when its obvious they are in a room in front of a green screen. Get a damn fan blowing in their faces please.
All looked horribly fake, and why the hell is there a town built into the side of a cliff? It just tries too hard to be dramatic, even geographically. Because of this it just wasn't convincing enough for me to suspend my disbelief.
This includes the fact that the Gods looked like they were performing in a She-Ra Drag Show (should of avoided the art-deco sci-fi costume choices and bright lipstick). The director did a good job, but everyone else should of been fired- casting team, costume designers, makeup artists, set designers, writers.
... and next time cast REAL ACTORS instead of Revlon Models. I was cringing the entire time.
