Review of Immortals (2011) by Jennifer M — 26 Nov 2012
It is true that "Immortals" has a visual exaggeration worthy of Brazilian samba school, it is also true that the production demand hermetically repeat the formula "300 (2007)," without adding anything new. Still, this is perhaps the best (or least unpalatable) production based on Greek mythology to contribute in theaters recently.
When we have movies like "Troy"(2004), and the remake of "Clash of the Titans" (2010) as this parameter can't be a review of the most exciting, however, and above all, because of good actors protagonists "Immortals" arrives to provoke some kind of sympathy. Something that that other two bombs films has managed to achieve.
The strong presence of Mikey Rourke (on the eccentric mode) and above all, the heroic stance of Henry Cavill (in what may be a promising test for Superman) lend some dignity to this production full of flaws, but at least, enjoy, if you can't a day especially demanding.
6.5/10.0.
