Visually, I thought the movie was stunning, With that being said, I still think the movie was average. They tried to go with this whole 300 feel, which would have been cool in sporadic instances, but not EVERY fight scene and EVERY death.
They shoulda switched it up a bit, as that got annoying fast. I felt that the story was just kind of meh, it did not seem that interesting, but its enough I guess. The brutality of the movie definitely ups this to me by at least a star.
Most movies tone down the gore, but this type of movie needs that sorta thing. Big respect in that aspect. Overall, its a decent watch, but dont go into it thinking you will experience an "epic" because you won't.
