Review of Immortals (2011) by Farron K — 09 May 2014
Average action movie. Henry Cavill speaking dialogue not quite as hideous as he did in Man Of Steel, Mickey Rourke performing well as a douchebag warlord, and Freida Pinto as the obligatory love interest/"naked ass in that one scene.
" The story is typical B-movie boredom about gods and titans and so forth. The effects are decent, but nothing amazing. The historical inaccuracies start to pile up pretty heavily when you notice them, and the fact that they blatantly set this one up for a sequel at the end is cringe-worthy, given how mediocre everything is.
Overall, a summer weekend time-waster and something for the 13-year-old boys to hide under their beds thanks to Ms. Pinto, but otherwise meh.
