Had it not been for the shoddy editing, bad writing, absent story-line, and weak characterization, Immortals might have just benefited much more greatly from Tarsem's style if it was also paired with a focused message connecting and comparing modern cinematic art and imagery with ancient/mythic sculptures and murals.
