3 words to begin: IT'S A MOVIE! To say that this is one of Oldman's best performances would be saying much more than the statement is usually understood. The ending with the Ode to Joy scene, where Oldman is asked to turn around to realize the audience is joyfully applauding is one of the most memorable moments in the film.
