Review of Immortal Beloved (1994) by William H — 13 Oct 2007
I was very upset, upon learning online, that this picture did not get nominated for any awards, least of all a Golden Globe for Gary Oldman's stunning and powerful performance as the man behind the music.
The cinematography was beautiful, the story was a sad one, and the sounds of what Beethoven heard helped to make his world seem like it was spiraling out of control as the minutes passed. An awesome piece of work, I must say, very underrated, and deserves to be viewed again and again and again.
